OCEANS BEHAVIORAL HOSPITAL of Broussard provides 15 Geriatric and 35 adult beds in a secured unit for ages 55 and above who require inpatient hospitalization for psychiatric illness. Services are targeted to individuals having difficulties managing daily activities such as hygiene, medication or diet. Often these individuals exhibit signs of depression, confusion, combativeness or social withdrawal. We take pride in providing a specialized service in a safe and structured environment.

Inability to manage daily activities

Hallucinations (Auditory or Visual)

55 years of age or older

18-54 for Adults
